Score of Presence

Paintings of Stereophonic Analysis as Sound Speakers

It is a series of “sound paintings” where sound is emitted from the panel, which is the support of the painting, using special printing and flat panel speaker technology. The image drawn on each painting is the spatial acoustic data visualized by condensing/expanding the space-time using unique algorithm, and its colors change vividly depending on the angle from which it is viewed. A sound space is formed by making a set of 6 paintings overlap each other visually and aurally.

特殊印刷および平面パネルスピーカー技術を用い，絵画の支持体であるパネル自体が音を発する“音の出る絵画”シリーズ．それぞれの絵画に描かれたイメージは，空間音響のデータを独自のアルゴリズムによって時空間を縮約／拡張し，視覚化したもので，鑑賞する角度によって色彩が鮮やかに変化します．6枚組の絵画が視覚的かつ聴覚的に重なりあうことによって，ひとつの音響空間が立ち上がります．
