Perhaps what all sacred places share is not religion, but an extraordinary acoustic field.
Across cultures, sacred spaces resonate differently. In Western cathedrals, sound descends from above; in Eastern shrines, it opens toward the earth. Though geometries differ, both reorganize perception through listening.
Holy Echo explores this invisible force as a universal condition of the sacred. Rather than treating Mariendom as a visual landmark, evala uses advanced spatial sound technology with over 50ch to dissolve its Neo-Gothic architecture into a realm beyond cultures, religions, time, and space—through sound alone.
The project shifts the dialogue from theology to the phenomenology of perception. It proposes that space becomes sacred not through doctrine or symbol, but when human perception is reorganized through resonance. At the intersection of art, technology, and cognition, Holy Echo offers a prayer beyond the visible—where sacredness emerges through resonance itself.
