音楽家・サウンドアーティストのevalaが、2026年9月9日〜13日にオーストリア・リンツで開催される「Ars Electronica Festival 2026」に参加します。

世界最高峰のメディア・アートの機関として知られるArs Electronica。evalaは昨年、日本人として初めて「Prix Ars Electronica 2025 Isao Tomita Special Prize」を受賞しました。

Sound artist evala will participate in the Ars Electronica Festival 2026, held in Linz, Austria, from September 9 to 13. Known as a world-leading institution in media art, Ars Electronica honored evala last year as the first Japanese artist to receive the Prix Ars Electronica 2025 Isao Tomita Special Prize.

本年のフェスティバルでは、新作インスタレーション『Holy Echo』を世界初披露します。

会場となるのは、フェスティバルのメイン会場のひとつであり、オーストリア最大規模を誇る聖マリア大聖堂（Mariendom Linz）。

。高さ134m、長さ130mにおよぶ壮大な聖堂空間全域を舞台に、evalaはその響きと音響反射を独自の”空間的作曲”によって再構築します。祈りの場として長い時間を刻んできた大聖堂が、目には見えない音によって、耳でしか視ることのできない新たな知覚体験へと変容します。

また、フェスティバル初日（9月9日）の夜にはオープニングイベントに特別出演。会場となる同大聖堂にて、本インスタレーションの立体音響システムを用いたライブパフォーマンスを行います。当日は特別なゲストも迎える予定です。

For this year’s festival, evala will present his new site-specific installation, “Holy Echo.”
The venue is St. Mary’s Cathedral, one of the festival’s main locations and the largest cathedral in Austria, standing 134 meters tall and 130 meters long. Across this majestic sacred space, evala reconstructs the cathedral’s grand acoustic resonance and reflections through his unique “spatial composition.” Transformed by invisible sound, the historic space of prayer shifts into an unprecedented perceptual experience that can only be “seen” through the ears.
Additionally, on the opening night of September 9, evala will give a one-night-only live performance using the installation’s spatial audio system, joined by a special guest.
