養老天命反転地とは、荒川修作とマドリン・ギンズが生涯をかけて探求した「天命反転」構想を実現したテーマパーク。岐阜県養老郡養老町に所在し、約 18,000 ㎡に及ぶ広⼤な敷地には、 ⽔平、垂直な線は極⼒排除され、⼈⼯的な地平線が数多く配置されるなど、⾄る所に⼈間の平衡感覚や遠近感を混乱させる仕掛けが施されています。

この”死なないための公園”の中で、「See by Your Ears」として聴覚の新たな可能性を探求し続けてきたevalaによる、空間的サウンドインスタレーションが展開されます。
11月1日（土）、2日（日）、3日（月・祝）には、evalaと国際的に活動するダンスカンパニーのNeon Dance、美術家の⼤巻伸嗣とのインスタレーション＆パフォーマンス公演を開催します。ダンサーと共に養⽼天命反転地内をめぐる体験型の公演となり、日没後に開催される限定70名の公演では、初めて閉園後の養老天命反転地が公開され、月明かりの下で行われるプレミア公演となります。

世界にも類を見ない養老天命反転地30周年を祝う特別な3週間、ぜひ身体を使ってご体験ください。

Sound artist evala will participate in “Reversible Destiny NOW! Living Body Museum in Yoro,” a special event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Site of Reversible Destiny, held from Oct 25 to Nov 17, 2025.

The Site of Reversible Destiny is a theme park that embodies the concept of “Reversible Destiny,” a life-long exploration by the artist Shusaku Arakawa and the poet Madeline Gins. Spanning a vast area of approximately 18,000 square meters, the park deliberately eliminates horizontal and vertical lines and features numerous artificial horizons. The entire site is filled with structures designed to disrupt a person’s sense of balance and perspective. It is “The Park for Not Dying,” where everyone can use their bodies to find balance and discover new possibilities within themselves. Within this unique setting, evala—who has long pursued the dormant potential of hearing through his project “See by Your Ears”—will present new spatial sound installation.

Furthermore, during the event on November 1st – 3rd, evala will present an installation and performance with the internationally active dance company Neon Dance and the artist Shinji Ohmaki. Daytime and post-sunset performances will be held, each lasting approximately 40 to 50 minutes. For the first time, the park will open after hours for the post-sunset performances, offering a premiere experience for a limited audience of 70 people to witness a performance under the moonlight.
